yurt. *snrk* that's such a funny word...

yup. this is a yurt. this is also from staff trips before camp started, and we went to visit a nearby sister camp, and we stayed in their yurts. we have our own yurts, but not like this. they're not pansy yurts with ceiling fans, electricity, and air conditioning. that's not camping. all you need is a pool, and you've got your own mini motel. just don't forget the complimentary tiny bottles of liquor in the fridge! (that was pure and utter sarcasm right there, folks.) i could rant for hours about what camping has become and what it should be, but i'll spare your eardrums. or rather, your retinas. yees. <.< >.> i knew that.

bowling!

this was a staff trip before camp began, and we went to Cornell and went bowling! only thing is, it's an old bowling place, and it's not very automated. that meant no little tv's to tell you what your score was, you had to figure it out by yourself! it was really hard because almost no one knew how to really score bowling. i mean, they teach you in highschool, but as soon as you're out of there, half of what you learned goes right out the window. nevertheless, it was an interesting game.

rawr!

so, i know it's not my foot, and it's not a very good picture, but there's this guy who has concrete dinosaurs on his lawn. it's really freaking cool. you have no idea.

with glowing hearts we see thee rise...

going through a tunnel to Canada! there were about seven on the way up. some of them are really long, and at this one point, there's like five in a row, so it's really fun to play the "hold your breath" game!

true patriot love in all thy sons command...

still Duluth, but who cares?

my home and native land...

this is still Duluth, but that round building has a revolving restaurant on top. it's soooo coool!!

oh, canada...

this is Duluth, on the way to Canada during the 4th of July week. it was difficult to take, because i had to hoist my foot up against the window of the truck to get the photos of outside. more to come!

aaaaallrightythen.

i'm back. amazing, i know. beware of tons of pics now that i have to catch up. now, going back in time, this is the Civic Center parking structure back at No Brand. i know. we'll get to now sometime someday, just bear with me. this is where tons of "random battles" took place. it was usually four on four, like in the Final Fantasy videogames. my favorite battle had to be when it was dark and storming outside, and this guy dressed as Link went to do a giant swipe with his sword, and when it landed, this giant crash of thunder sounded at the exact moment. it was awesome, to say the least. there was also this guy dressed as Cloud who carried around his own stereo with videogame music, and whenever he won in a battle, he would play the victory song. it was hilarious.

roight...

so... this summer i have limited internet access. yay. posts will resume regularly when i get back to school and having a computer everyday. in the meantime, i'll try to put up what i can, okay? here we go...
Dad wanted to test out his motors, so he took my sister, me, and our dog out for a boat ride. that's the story behind this pic taken at Simon Park. whee. ready for the next one?

hiatus

yeah. well, i'm moving out of my dorm room today, so i've been doing finals and cleaning for the past week, which explains lack of postage. sadly, i have to disconnect my computer to transport it back home, but hopefully i will have it up and running in my room. sadly, though, i work monday to friday, and i only come home on the weekends, so i'll only get to post at least once a week. no more three posts a week like back in March. holy crap, i had some free time back then. it was kinda nice, though. i am gonna miss my internet radio, though. it's gonna be back to the old CDs for the entire summer. gawd. how weird is that gonna be? i haven't listened to those since last summer. . . meh. but, i'm really happy with the computer. i've traded in the Tank (a behemoth MPC, whatever that is) for Dennis (an HP) and i'm quite pleased, even though i have to transfer all of my files over, which will be a bit awkward with the portable hard drive. but, Dennis (who i got from a friend) has tons of games on him that i get to run through and see which ones i want to keep. sorry, but the Jedi Knights games had to go. (i much prefer Trek to Wars) besides, i'll need the room if i want to put all of my music on there! (i have tons and tons of music) well, right now i'm being bored waiting for the parental units to come with the truck, and just kind of playing around to waste time. i might play some Spore later. idk. maybe i'll go grab some food. . .

Korea!

not really, that's just what we call Artist's Alley at No Brand, because there are many many spectacular artists from Korea. seriously. well, in other news, i have finals next week, and then i head to camp, where i don't get much computer time. i'll try to post whenever i can, but i might get on a little hiatus until i get back to school next semester. next semester. wow. looks like my first year of college went by in a flash. zoop! there it went. now i'll be a Graphic Design major taking art class at 8 in the morning and running across the footbridge at least three times everyday. luckily, it takes five minutes to get across, and i'll get a lot of excersize that i desperately need. (what can i say? i'm a lazy bum.) well, i gotta get back to work. the fiction contest ends saturday, and i've got to edit my peices (again) to make sure they're perfect. i'm hoping for at least some recognition, but we'll see. maybe i'll post the peices on here, if people want. maybe i'll post the winning ones, if any of them win. *shrug* here's hoping.

No Brand!

yup. here it is, the first pic from no brand con. my foot is covered by a spat, but it's still my foot nonetheless. the crazy people in front of me are my friends Katie and Kait. they were dressed as people from Ouran High School Host Club (google it). this is in the Ramada Hotel and Convention Center, and since it was friday, not a lot of people were there. saturday was amazing, there were tons and tons of people there. but, i liked it. first day i got there, and at least five people recognized my character. since it's from the 70's (omg!) i was stunned that people actually knew it. don't worry, i'll do something more recent next time. well, here's the lowdown on the convention itself. there were some rooms for programming, such as talking to voice actors and having panels and the variety show, and the dance, and other stuff like that. there was also a side room specifically for tabletop gaming, and a video game room that was constantly filled with people. there were two anime showing rooms, and even the No Mercy room, where they would show really bad films and you could sit there and yell at them. it was 18+, and i even went to watch Honzo in there. don't watch it. ever. it's so horrible. you will be scarred for life. even more than you are now. ummm... what else was there... there was the artist alley, and the giant room of vendors who would hawk anime, manga, plushies, candy, and just about anything pertaining to japan. i would have picked up a CD, but there were only like, three songs on them, so it wasn't worth it. i got a manga, a GTO dvd that i have to get the rest of now because i love that anime/manga, and an FMA wall scroll. (if you don't know what i'm talking about, don't worry. ) oh! i also got some candy, including mango Hi-Chew. they're delishious. hmmm... there was also Steam Century there, who is a steampunk group, and they had a LARP murder mystery game. i made some new friends who are steampunking, and i am so ready to learn to weld this summer, so that i can have my steampunk outfit done and ready to show off next No Brand. i must admit that i didn't take many photos this time, because i was having too much fun, but i'll give you what i can. oh, it looks like Nobita needs my help again... bye! *sticks bamboo copter on head and flies away*

sorreh! again...

yah. sorry. well, i've been having computer issues, and i think it's finally time to retire the tank that used to be my PC. we'll save the hard drives and the sound card, but i think i might want to use the rest for some cyberpunk. No Brand was awesome for my first anime convention, there was even a steampunk mystery game there with a bunch of steampunk people! we made some new friends, and got tons of new ideas. i can't wait to weld this summer!! steampunk jet pack, here i come!!! ^,^ well, now that that's out of the way, i can have the Volume One fiction contest on my radar, along with a driving test, and finals. oh! and getting classes for next semester. here's the deal: i'm a Graphic Design major, and i can't take any art classes. DUMB. so, i e-mailed some teachers, and we're gonna see if i can't sneak into a class. who knows? i might just have to double up for a while. and i definitely want to take wintrum classes. yesh. i don't know about summer ones, though. i do have camp to work at, which kinda helps pay for tuition... we'll see. . . well, i'm just trying to get through my last weeks of classes, and then handling being head cook... and hoping that i won't be the only person working in the kitchen all summer. that would just su-uck. srsly.

mall

yup. this is the campus mall of my university. behind the clock is Davies, which has food in it. that's the most important part of that building. the food. but, it's a nice campus, even if it is on a giant hill and across a river. actually, i found out why the campus is so weird. the land was donated to the making of a teacher's university from lumberjacks. where Hibbard is now, there used to be a sawmill. thus, being on the river is simply logical, since loggers would float their chopped-down trees down the river to the sawmill. so, now i understand why we have to walk across the stupid footbridge in the freezing cold. but, knowing the logic behind something doesn't necessarily mean that i still want to do it. and i chose to be a Graphic Design major. . . good job. (i'm being sarcastic) meh. the land was donated, so they couldn't do a thing about it since the campus is surrounded by the city. one may think that being on campus is the same as being in the city, but it's not. it's a whole different world in there. a world where tests are tedious and food is fabulous (sometimes). a world where i can stay up all night dancing to Daft Punk and eating snickerdoodles. (that one's a lie. i've never done that. i might like to, though. . . ) a world where. . . oh, crap, i have class. *zoom!*

sorreh...

i've been busy with getting ready for No Brand Con, which is this weekend, and i'm really excited!!! i will be cosplaying as Doraemon, who is a robot cat from the future who uses various helpful tools such as the bamboo helicopter and the anywhere door! (just google Doraemon, and you should be able to find the general info.) hopefully there will be many pictures from the convention, and we can get back on track with this thing. in the meantime, i have four more weeks of school, and then its off to camp to be the head cook! aaaahhhhhh!!!! *runs around flailing arms* i can't believe i'm head cook this year!! what is going on??? the apocalypse?? well, hannah that-big-state-whatever-it-is has a movie out, so... IT'S THE APOCALYPSE!!!!! darnit!! i need my shotguns and my rations for the zombie invasion!!! do you have a zombie plan? you better make one now if you don't have one. seriously. they're coming, and if you're not ready for them, you are dead meat. literally. well, i'm off to stock up on supplies. now. . . where would they sell gernades. . . .?

yarg.

hey. sorry about not posting this week, but one: i need more foot pics, and two: i'm really freaking busy during the entire month of April. Spectrum (my university's gay group) basically has all of its events during this month, and i (being the Events Coordinator) am working my ass off. not to mention that my midterm grades weren't so good, so i have to study really hard to pass all of my classes. it's just been a hectic and stressful time so far, and i don't think it's going to ease up anytime soon. but hey, No Brand Con is in two weeks, and i'm going home this weekend to make my costume! (i'm not telling you what it is, you'll have to guess!^.^) well, i have a test today that i should study some more for. you can't ever learn too much!

vroom!

oh, this was just taken while driving around with my coworker from camp, Scarlett. (we all have "camp names", but i can esplain that later). this was a very early pic for the blog, and i was very advent about getting pics for the blog. nowadays, i have to remember to bring my camera with me, and even then i have to remind myself to take photos for the blog. . . . well, there's not much to say on this one, but i think we'll start some world traveling. . . that might prove to be fun. i just hope that we don't get sick on the airplane. that just sucks!

oh, up in the northwoods, there is a camp...

ah. camp. i swear most of my life has been spent on its rolling hills and grassy field. (we only have one big grassy field.) this is the chalet, which is basically the place where staff hangs out. campers are not allowed inside. i promise to get more pics this summer, as i go back for my third year of staffing, and my 12th year of camp in total. i'll talk more about camp then. in the meantime, i have to go recruit staff for this summer. we're a bit short this year...

hiptoptoominas

still staying on the "Asian" theme, this is my high school Japanese room, where i spent four years of my life to learn a language that i forgot in about three months. go me. i have many fond memories of this room, even back to when i was a froshie-man, studying with Benwitz-sensei, and always getting off topic, no matter what we were discussing. throughout those four years were feild trips to Japanese food stores, teaching the elementary students how to count, watching japanese music videos in class, and finally, taking the Japan trip with my classmates. sadly, i only have one picture from Japan, since we were busy almost every day, but i'll try to fit in as much info as i can.

best store evar!

this is United Noodle in Minneapolis. it basically sells foodstuffs from Asian countries, such as Japan, China, Indonesia, India, and many more of the like. if you like Japanese food, this is heaven for you. you can stock up on all the candy you could ever want, special cooking supplies for that perfect recipe, and there's also a small restaurant where you can eat udon to your heart's content. i went to japan a while back, and coming here gives me great joy and memories of Tokyo and Kyoto, among other places over there. i was especially pleased to find giant bottles of Pocari Sweat, my favorite Japanese sports drink. i know that the picture looks like it was taken in a grocery store, but if i could take a picture of the entire store, i totally would. the problem is that it's just too big! if you keep going forward in my picture, there are aisles upon aisles of Asian groceries, and the restaurant is just on the other side of this one. if you go backwards in the picture, there's the whole other half of the store which is for refridgerated and frozen stuff like pork buns and cake and ice cream. seriously, people, if you ever go to Minneapolis, google this place and find it! it's hard to find, but if you come to the fish store with the metal sculptures out front, you're almost there. the store is kinda in a back alleyway, so try not to get confused or frustrated. a lot of times, the best places are just hidden plain under your nose.

it's a bridge?

this is the Guthrie's "Endless Bridge", as i believe it is called. it's got a little balcony right on the end so that you can see the river and the rest of the city. it's pretty cool. i wonder how they structured it, since it's a really long cantilever. but i guess that you can have a long cantilever if it's not very wide, which this one isn't, so i guess it works just fine. it hasn't fallen down yet, so that's a good sign!

note: if you do follow this blog, please send me a comment so i know who i'm talking to, since right now i feel as if i'm talking to myself. i'm not saying that it's not fun to talk to myself, believe me, it's great fun. it's just that i'd like some recognition for what i'm doing here and if people like it or not. maybe i'm just thinking too much again. i do that sometimes...

le target lounge.

it's too bad i can't spell that in french... it sounds better that way. this was in the Guthrie, and i just had to take a picture, even though i got yelled at for it. apparently you're not supposed to take pictures in there. whoops! well, the i haven't been in the old Guthrie, so i can't really compare the two, but the new one is big and kinda confusing. the cool thing is that it has a really really really really really really long escalator that we rode. . . . kthnxbai!

Minneapolis.

yup. here it is, from the top of the new Guthrie Theater. my sister lives here, so when we took her back at the end of Spring Break, we also went to the Guthrie, because my dad's friend had an extra ticket and invited him on a "man-date". (my mom was joking about it the whole time.) Katie (my sister) and i stood in line to get rush tickets for the Two Gentlemen of Verona, and amazingly, we got in! we were very excited, for this meant that we didn't have to go waste time at some museum down the street waiting for my dad and his friend to get out. the play was done as a 1950's live television broadcast, with us as the "live studio audience". they even had old cameras that had live feeds running to two giant screens on either side of the thrust stage. that way, us people in the back of the theater could clearly see the actors' faces and expressions. i really liked the production, and it was fun to go to something like this with my sister. we don't see each other a lot anymore, so it was really nice to spend time with her. later on in the day, we headed over to United Noodle, but i have a picture for that, and therefore, another post.

doodles of oodles of noodles

snrk. it rhymes. this is the Noodles and Co. in EC, where i went for lunch with a camp buddy one day during spring break. i like the fact that they use real cheese in their macaroni and cheese. they also have soy sauce and hot sauce at every table. this made me happy, as did the availability of chopsticks. drinking root beer, eating mac and cheese, and using chopsticks. it was a fun day. i just realized that i have a lot more foot photos that i have to post, and they're probably gonna be in random order, so... deal with it. as is usual on thursdays, i don't want to go to class, but i have to, since we're gonna be writing yet another paper. whee. (that was sarcastic.) i'm so excited. (that was sarcastic too.)

flooding

this is another part of the church, called the Memorial Lounge. it has a kitchen in one corner, and the bathrooms are in the other corner. there's a piano and several bookcases full of random religious books in the last two corners. every Lent, the church has this thingy where there's a small service, and then everyone comes in here to have a dinner and discussion on a certain topic pertaining to Lent in some way. i had come to participate in the church's knitting group, in which i am slowly becoming involved. it's a good way to be with my mom, and i get to knit something other than scarves. we're all knitting prayer shawls for people who apparently get cold while praying. i don't really understand why we're doing it, but it seems as if people want the shawls, so we're making them. it's not that bad. just put on 58 stitches and knit three, pearl three, until you get five feet of shawl. it takes about three or four skeins of yarn, depending on the yarn. well, the dinner that night was soup, and the discussion was about flooding. like Noah and the Ark type. we found out that pretty much every culture on Earth has a flood story. whether it be from Transylvania, or the Ivory Coast, they're all about the same. some dude is good, and he gets saved when the deity decides to drown the Earth in water, and the dude is left to repopulate. i feel sorry for that dude. i mean, if he was on a boat, like the Bible notes about Noah, what if he got seasick all the time?? that would suck! though, it would let you get a lot of prayer shawls done.

church!

so, it's a bad photo... get used to it. if you can see past my enlightened foot (literally), you will see the interior of the church that i attended throughout my childhood. i am sitting in the back of the church and that white thing below the window is the alter. it's made of marble. sorry that i couldn't take a better photo, but we were short on time, and i had to get home. it's a pretty big building, and i'm proud of it's architecture. there are giant wooden beams that hold up the ceiling, and a marble baptismal font. fancy, yes, but it's been that way for a long, long time, and we haven't changed much over the years. i don't go very often, since it's hard to get anywhere without a vehicular transportation device. damn you college!

so, i've been busy. sue me.

this is sally. she's actually a lot bigger than she looks here, because here she's all curled up on the couch. yes, our dog sleeps on the couch. don't ask me, she's mom's favorite. mom didn't even want a dog, but soon enough, she was rolling on the floor and throwing the duckie toys across the room for sally. i don't know... i'm more of a cat person, myself. i don't mind dogs, as long as they're big. if i can punt it, it is not a dog. it is a chew-toy. the smallest dogs that i will accept are corgies, because i think that they're adorable. just look at Ein from Cowboy Bebop! adorable i tell you! adorable! i'm supposed to be writing some papers today, but i think i'll put up some more posts instead. high ho, sally, awwaaayyyyy!

my bad.

looks like someone forgot that they had a blog to upkeep. whoops! well, lately i've been getting through school, waiting for spring break to come, and trying to catch up on my sleep. some friends and i stayed up all of saturday watching Full Metal Alchemist, and i was awake for 36 hours. yay for mountain dew and chocolate pies. i think once we get to next week, i'll put up some more foot pictures. this week, i have to get all of my crap done so that i have nothing to do spring break time. i need to work on my outfit for No Brand Con, write my peice for the Volume One fiction contest, possibly go clothes shopping, clean and organize my sister's room (because she hasn't done it in twenty years), make earrings because i recently got my ear pierced (i don't know if i've already talked about that, but if not, i'll mention it in another post.), write some more music, and generally lay about and maybe sleep even more than i already am. SPRING BREAK, HERE I COME!!! ^_^

dancing!

this can be danced to every kind of music. trust me.
(and please don't listen to it. my sister is a dork.)

dinner

mmm... food...

Wednesday, February 25, 2009

here's the lowdown.

so, i've been busy these past few days... on Monday, i got my ear pierced. it's a helix on my left ear so quit asking me where i got it! geez! it hurts a bit, and i'm not allowed to touch it, to sleep on it, or to wear a hat. for at least a month. and i have to get special soap to clean it with, and sea salt if it gets infected, and it looks pretty frikking awesome! it will be wonderful with my shaven head that i'm getting done tomorrow. before you know it, i'll be wearing leather and listening to the Sex Pistols. actually, i was playing on Amazon, and i aquired a DVD of Tank Girl, which is a movie that i love and is basically unknown, i guess... well, no matter. i will sit everyone down, and we will watch it together! >:D
otherwise, i've been feeling kinda blah. with a little bit of meh. confusing, i know. think about how i feel. my creativity is shot, and i can barely finish one freaking page of writing for the Volume One fiction contest, which will sneak up on me like last time, the little bugger. i just kinda wish that it was nanowrimo again... so that i could actually focus myself into one thing instead of spreading myself thin. i feel like not enough butter on a big peice of toast. mmmmm.... toast. have i mentioned how much i love toast? it's very. . . toasty. sorry, being non-sequiter. i think i need a weekend of chillaxing at my parental unit's abode. yeah. that might do me some good. as long as i get my homework done.

Let There Be Lips!!

yesterday, i went to the midnight showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show. i was previously a virgin to this cult celebration, and therefore was initiated through doing the Time Warp onstage. i (of course) dressed up in the most sparkly sweater you will ever see in your life, and what i like to call the "pony-hawk". it is a hairstyle that i like to think that i invented, but i'm not quite sure about that... it's basically a mohawk with little ponytails running down the middle of your head. i have black/blond hair, so the effect was pretty stunning. so was my hair when i woke up this morning. wow. that must have been the worst case of bed-head i've ever seen. and i have pretty bad bed-head.
when going to the production, i knew that you shouted lines at the screen and threw stuff, but some people (who were amazingly awesome) actually went up and acted out the parts right in front of the screen! it was stupendous. someday, after i've been to the Picture Show about forty times, i'd like to go up and "get struck by lightning" and do the Time Warp. but, until then, i'll stick to learning the audience participation stuff. besides, i see you shiver with antici...................pation.

sorry...

i've been busy... and my camera has no batteries right now, so the pics are gonna be from a while ago, and i'm just going to have to narrate the more recent stuff. the pic is from when i went to Moulton's Skate America to celebrate a friend's birthday. it's technically not "Moulton's" anymore, but nobody cares. it's a big roller rink with an arcade and a DJ. the middle thingy there is a small train that runs around for kids to ride on, and little ramps where you can ride the turtles. if you don't know what they are, the turtles i am referring to are like scooters that you sit on and you put both your feet and your hands on the handlebars and you slide down the ramp and try not to fall off. we were playing around with them, going backwards and stuff, and fell off. to get to that middle part, since the surrounding area is where people skate, they have these large metal tubes that you can crawl inside of. we used to have races inside of them when i was younger and Moulton's was cool. now, it's just kinda lame... unless you have a big group of crazy friends. then it's pretty fun. sorry that the pic is blurry, i was having skaters bump into me.

たんじょび おめでとう!<3

oooh, looky that! i's being creative! well, if you can't read the japanese up in the title, it says happy birthday, and it says that because mine was yesterday. i was too busy chillaxin' to put up a post, so here i am doing it now. i'm old now, and i got a few nice things, like a poster and a popcorn machine. it's one of the old ones, where you use actual corn kernals and they come out the big chute at the top. but, i don't know if i have room to put it in my kitchenette-place-thingy-stuff. (it's basically a mini fridge, a microwave, and a rice cooker, and i might have mentioned it before, but it's early and i'm too lazy to go look it up.) but, we'll see if i still get a room mate, and if not, i'll have this huge double room to my self, which is a little awkward, but kinda nice. i can do whatever i want, whenever i want, and i don't have to worry about anyone else. i think it's pretty nifty.
well, i'm gonna finish my protein shake, and go put some clothes on. it's almost time to get ready for class, and i don't really want to go, but i'm paying for it, so i have to.... *sigh*

happy...oh wait...

yeah. so... this was last christmas, when i decorated the tree. my original plan was to have it be maroon, gold, and blue. (this is because my sister's school colors are maroon and gold, and my school colors are blue and gold) we were going to do it together and it was to be pretty cool. nevertheless, she didn't come home in time to decorate it, so i went ahead and covered the tree in Bluegold colors. my reasoning at the time was, "well, it's my first year of college, and shouldn't we celebrate that somehow?" so this is how the tree turned out. and if you're worried that it's next to the fireplace, don't be. it is a gas fireplace with no real flames. it cannot set anything on fire. not even my foot.

Monday, February 9, 2009

hello, human.

Ah. so we meet. Fuzzy congratulates you for making it this far. and she is about ready to bite my foot off...
no... she's my sister's cat, and she won't bite my foot, unless i use it to poke her in the stomach many times. i don't think she likes me very much. this was taken in the family room of the abode of my parental units. yes, that is corn over there. we nail it to the giant maple trees and watch the squirrels fight over it. it's jolly good fun!
so, back to the slightly demonic feline. we got her from my grandparent's farm, where she was a tiny, weak kitten. and her ears were absolutely huge. she's lucky she's not named "Yoda".
Actually, i have a good story about how we got her. okay... this may take a while to explain, but bear with me. my grandparent's farmhouse has a corner between the indoor porch and the wall. in that corner is a giant slab of stone, and a thick cage of brambles. we had come to get a cat, since they are always crawling all over the place. i saw Fuzzy in the bramble cage, sitting on the large flat stone, and decided that i wanted "that one". i don't remember how old i was, but it was quite a while ago, while i was still young. (ah, the good old days) so, in my premature mind the best way to get the cat was not to scare it out, or use a stick to poke it out. no. i had to dive into the brambles to grab the cat with my bare hands. i could have grown up to be the Irwin-esque Cat Hunter. we are lucky that i am not.
so, now we have Fuzzy, who hates me. and i have no idea why..............

the flat

so... here's my dorm room. it is the beginning of my adventures. as you can see, it is a mess. i must tell you that i had no roommate at the time of this photo so all of this crap is mine. amazing, isn't it?
yes, that is a pokemon poster in the back... i got it from my host sister in Tokyo. the superhero is Jean Paul Valley, who is Azrael and took over for Batman when he was paralyzed. i have the comic book to prove it.
things you don't see: my computer and comparably messy desk, my "kitchen" which equals a fridge, microwave, and rice cooker, and my bass and amplifier. it goes to eleven.

...they are sketchy.

yup. i have them. and i like them. i don't have many pics in them, but whatever. just thought you might like to see them.
i've been busy these past days not getting my homework done, so i'll probably spend the night doing my english and stagecraft reading. yay powertools. actually, this morning i built a small flat, and it was awesome, and i got to leave class a half an hour early! yay! but the David Cook tickets were sold out, so i won't be going to that on the 18th in Davies. *sigh* but whatever. i've started the countdown, and there's only eleven days left! (and no, i won't tell you what i'm counting down to, you'll have to figure it out for yourself.)

i know it's boring...

but let's try to get through this, okay? i'll do one more pair after this and then we'll start exploring, i promise. these are my boots. unassuming? yes. deadly? horrifically so. with steel in both the toes and the heels, i can kick just about anything with these. i kinda want to go find an old filing cabinet now...
yes, they're really good for kicking and stomping things, but they're not so friendly to my ankles... maybe i just have weak ankles, but i'll keep them. you never know when you'll need boots that feel like Ironman's.

something for every occasion...

I believe that everyone has their favorite pair of fluffy slippers. these happen to be mine. i got them for christmas one year, and i just kept wearing them. i don't especially like the color purple or animal prints whatever those are, the slippers are just amazingly comfortable and i think i could wear them doing just about anything. except water-skiing. and skydiving. and maybe a few other things...

omg...shoes

all right... before we start going places, let's get to know my footwear, so that you know that it is actually my foot in the photos and not just someone else's foot. these are my sneakers. i basically wear them everywhere i go. there are some photos where you'll see my old sneakers, and i'll probably get another pair of those as soon as i'm done with these. they were Dunlop Waffle Stompers with bright red laces, and i loved those shoes....

i promise you that i don't have a lot of shoes, like some people, and that i have each pair for a purpose.

...stuff

well, i started a project that will hopefully be done and on DeviantArt next week. because lemme tell ya, drawing with a mouse takes a frikking long time. and i've got nothing to do this weekend, so i'll probably lay around tomorrow unless i get kidnapped by my friends. i know that my dad would probably like to watch the superbowl with me, so i might go home on sunday and keep track of all the good commercials. i'm kinda bored right now, and my foot has fallen asleep twice on me now, so i might... well... i have no idea what to do. it's dark, cold, and i think i might read until i fall asleep. i promise to have more foot pics up tomorrow. heck, we could have two posts in one day! how amazing would that be?! ...well, not really, i guess. but, whatever. i think i'm gonna go eat some peanut butter and read my really thick and kinda tedious book that i'm just gonna have to bear with to get to the end so i can read all the other books i've started and not finished. but then again, i'm rambling now, so... yeah.

Pandora's Box

Oh, how i love internet radio. i only have one class today, so i'm spending it in my dorm room, reading and listening to Pandora Radio. if you don't know about it, go try it out. you choose an artist or genre, and it plays music that's kind of like that. it really lets you explore stuff you haven't heard before, and expands your music library. my current favorite station is Ronald Jenkees, because it plays lots of soothing techno that you can just kinda groove and relax to.

note: i probably won't post pics of my foot all the time, so just hang with it.

anyways, it's really freezing cold up here in wisconsin, and i don't want to go outside, even though i have to go to my english class. yay for reading past presidential speeches. well, after english i get to meet with the executive board of Spectrum, which is UWEC's gay club. i'm the events coordinator, and i get to set up all the events, such as the Spring Drag Show, which is going to be awesome this year, i promise you. i might set up a few workshops and maybe some feild trips too, i don't really know yet. but that's what we're gonna discuss tonight at the meeting. then i might go to Racy's for hot chocolate. i don't know. we'll see.

well, it's off for more reading for me. yay. (that was sarcastic)

good morning!

okay, so let's get acquainted. This is my foot, as you can so obviously see. It may look like a bad picture, but it's not. It got that way when i did the photo magic editing on HP Photosmart Essential. I kinda like this picture, as it takes away the flaws of my foot.
this was taken in my dorm room, which has no carpeting, and i wish i had a rolly chair to glide around on. oh well. maybe later i'll post a picture of my dorm room for you. it's actually quite big, seeing as it's a double room that's acting as a single right now. (i have issues with roommates, that i might talk about later.) so, right now it's just me and my foot. even though my foot is not a seperate entity. hmmm..... i'll have to ponder that a bit more... well, it's early in the morning, and i have classes soon. good thing it's freezing outside! :) (that was sarcastic)

New Blog!

Hey! Welcome to my first blog. As you can see, it's about my foot. My right foot, to be exact, though there may be times when you see my left foot. That's okay. Also, I am not prejudice towards what foot to blog about, it's just that I happen to be right-handed and right-footed as well.
The main point of this blog is for me to post pictures of my foot in random places and then tell you about them. If you like it, that's cool and keep watching. We'll see what places my foot will go!
